Description

The CURRENT LADY will fish the Kachemak Bay, Cook Inlet, and Gulf of Alaska for a variety of species, including HALIBUT, SALMON, ROCKFISH, LINGCOD . This beautiful custom-built vessel is equipped with three Yamaha 425 hp outboard motors (that’s over 1200 hp!) along with some of the most sophisticated electronics and engine management systems in the fleet. She also has the Seakeeper Stabilization Gyro System which will help eliminate Sea-sickness by efficiently minimizing the side-to-side roll as much as 95%. The Seakeeper will increase your hours of effective fishing while making a huge reduction in your fatigue by the end of the day, whether from seasickness or rougher waters. Besides fishing, you will enjoy the beautiful scenery of Alaska, sea otters, puffins and other sea birds, quite possibly whales and other wildlife. Each day is a different beauty of its own. It is very important to dress in layers with a waterproof outer layer. Summer fishing conditions range from highs of sunny and 80 degrees down to rain, wind, and 45 degrees. All the layers in the world are useless if they get wet, so be sure to bring along waterproof pants and coat. Even if cheap and disposable, some form of rain-gear will still block most wind and rain. A backpack is usually sufficient for clothing, food and personal items.Exclusive Full-Boat single party bookings are available. Larger groups (up to 14) may be accommodated. The party booking must understand that the vessel will not fish more than 12 Halibut or Rockfish rods at a time (4 when Trolling for Salmon), so rotating through rods may be required. Please call or email for additional details on customizing your trip. Rates are per person. Rates do not include sales tax. Daily trips average 8-10 hours. A valid Alaska fishing license must be purchased prior to your trip. Additionally, you may need a King Salmon Stamp. Your fishing license must be in your possession while you are fishing. They are available on-line at the Alaska Dept of Fish & Game website. This rate is a per day rate.
