This is an opportunity for a 1:2 fully guided 10 day hunt in Oregon for trophy mountain goats. This outfitter's client currently holds the world record for Oregon's biggest mountain goat. Outfitter includes 10 days of pre-scouting in the price of the hunt to secure the biggest billies before the hunter arrives. Hunter will stay in either a wall tent or a backpack tent during the 10 days in the field.

If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

    Spike camp will be set up with either a backpacking tent or a wall tent. Hunter will hike daily from there. Outfitter will supply tents for this hunt. Hunter will need to supply their own sleeping bag and pad.

    Hunter should be prepared for some moderate hiking to get to high points and glass for big billies. Hunter should expect to hike on average 3 miles a day.


    Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

    Final destination city is Lewiston, Idaho. Outfitter will pick up hunter from the airport and bring them to camp.

    Description

    This is a 10 day hunt in the backcountry looking for big billies. Hunter needs to be prepared for moderate hiking on tall peaks while glassing. Temperatures can fluctuate in the high alpine. Moderate weather hunting clothing with a layering system is recommended. Durable hiking boots are a must. Full gear list provided by the outfitter when booked.
