Description

Wolves and Bears are at all time high in population numbers in Idaho. This outfitter is offering a fall predator hunt in August and September. This hunt is located in unit 27 in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness. This hunt offers a hunt that gives the hunter an opportunity to harvest 2 bears and 2 wolves and 2 cougar. This is new combo hunt for the 2021 season and is an exciting opportunity to say the least. All of the hunts are 2:1 fully guided 6 day hunts. The bear hunts can be either over bait or spot and stalk hunts. The wolves and cougar are spot and stalk or calling. The camp is located in an area that used to be used by miners at the turn of century. It also has 2 hot springs in the camp so when the days’ hunt is over, the hunter can relax with their favorite beverages and soak away those sore muscles. The camp has a cook tent and hunter tents with all the amenities to make your hunt a memorable one. Tags are guaranteed and the cost for non-residents for bear and cougar is $41.75 for each tag that is purchased. And wolf tag is $31.75. This can be arranged for either a spring or fall hunt. Each camp is designed for 2 hunters at a time. Arrangements can be made for a bigger camp. Option to upgrade to a 1:1 camp.

Average female wolves weigh 80-100 lbs. Average male wolves weigh 100-130 lbs. Average bears in the area are 5-6'. Mature lions are targeted and are on average 100-140 lbs.

    Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

Arrangements can be made for a bigger camp. Option to upgrade to a 1:1 hunt. Predator hunting does have lower shot opportunity, but arrangements can be made to higher your chances of success. Black bear hunts can be arranged as baited. Wolves are all spot and stalk or calling. Wolves are very hard to hunt, but this outfitter gives you the best chance of success! Mountain lion are also spot and stalk and calling. This is a much more challenging way to hunt lion, but it can be done! This is an exhilarating hunt, as there is nothing more fun than to outsmart a predator of the west!

    Description

    This hunt takes place in late August and early September. Hunter should be prepared for cooler evenings with possibility of warm days. Durable hiking boots and a good layering system is a must. Hunter should be prepared to hike and hunt all day in pursuit of predators. If choosing to hunt bears over bait, make sure to have the appropriate clothing. Depending on whether or not the spring or fall hunt is chosen will determine what should be packed. Full gear list to be provided if requested when booked.
