Description

The Yukon Territory is renowned for offering some of the finest moose hunting in the world. In the Blackstone area, vast stretches of prime habitat remain largely untouched, providing sanctuary for mature bulls deep in true wilderness. A 10-day hunt with us delivers one of the best opportunities in the North to pursue a record-book Alaska–Yukon moose, with bulls commonly measuring 60 inches or more. Traveling by horseback into these remote landscapes in search of trophy moose is a timeless experience—one that captures the spirit of traditional northern hunting. Our horseback hunts often reach areas that see little to no pressure, making the journey as rewarding as the destination. Float hunts have also grown in popularity, offering a dynamic alternative. Unlike lake-based moose hunting found elsewhere in Canada and Alaska, a river float hunt keeps you moving through diverse terrain, allowing you to cover more ground and locate active moose more effectively.

Description

Our horseback hunts utilize a range of camp styles, from comfortable mountain cabins to high-quality mobile tents carried by packhorses, as well as seasonal wall tents when conditions allow. No matter the setup, our experienced Yukon guides come fully equipped to handle whatever challenges the hunt may bring. Our river float trips are a truly unique experience in this region. Each day, you’ll travel approximately five to ten miles along remote waterways in a non-motorized raft, giving you the chance to cover extensive, untouched terrain. Be sure to bring your fly rod—or use one of ours—because the fishing is exceptional. Arctic grayling are abundant in these rivers, offering both exciting sport and a delicious addition to the shore lunches prepared by your guide. As you move along the river, your camp travels with you. You might settle in one spot for a few days or continue drifting through some of the finest hunting country in the Yukon. With hundreds of miles of river systems and multiple drainages to explore, each float trip delivers a one-of-a-kind wilderness adventure.
