Description

This is a 4 day hunt for 1 hunter. A backcountry hunt with a helicopter drop in on the west coast mountains of New Zealand with trophy class free range chamois. Options to also hunt free range fallow, Estate red stag, free range tahr, free range arapawa, waterfowl (if booked in early May) and wallaby/helicopter hunting.

Classification details:

SCI. Trophy class chamois averaging 9" SCI. Biggest chamois in the area measured 11" SCI.

Weapons description:

6.5 PRC custom Snowy MT. or Tikka .270 rifles and ammunition are also available for to use if hunter prefers not to bring their own.
Shooting in all positions.
Average of 200-350 yards, at most 400 yards.
Archery can be arranged, but rifle is preferred.

              Group Options

              Refund Policy:

              Deposits are not refundable. When you make a deposit or payment that money is used to reserve your adventure dates and we cannot sell them to anyone else. If for some reason you have to cancel, you will lose your deposit and any payments you have made. If you are concerned that you might get sick or otherwise have to cancel, we suggest buying trip insurance. There are insurance companies that specialize in providing insurance policies for outfitter bookings and hunts. One such company we recommend is globalrescue.com. It is also our policy, depending on the adventure you booked and at our discretion, that if you have to cancel and we are able to book a replacement for you at the regular price we will work with you to apply your deposits to another adventure. Please note that we cannot refund or roll state or government license fees, application fees, draw results, or tags.

              Description

              This is a backpack hunt for 1 hunter for trophy chamois in New Zealand. Hunter will be dropped off with guide in the mountains and hunt remotely from spike camp. Moderate to heavy hiking is required for this hunt. Options to shoot multiple New Zealand game can be added.

              Moderate to heavy hiking is required for this hunt. Depending on the season will also determine where tahr are found. Hunts booked in March and April make for easier hiking if strong physical exertion is not desired or an option.


              Transportation (To/From Basecamp)

              Hunter will fly into Christchurch International Airport. Outfitter will pick up hunter and transport them to hunting lodge. If hunter prefers, there are hotels in Christchurch if the hunter prefers to stay the first night in town.

              Description

              Backcountry hunting requiring hunter to bring their own gear for spike camp. Weather can be questionable at this time, so hunter should be prepared for rain and possibly snow during this hunt.


              What Outfitter Provides

              • Custom 6.5 PRC Snowy Mt rifle with Swarovski V5 or Tikka .270 and ammunition available for use if hunter does not want to bring their own
              • Benelli Shotgun with ammunition (if waterfowl hunting option is chosen)
